Diploma in Bakery & Patisserie course Structure

Candidates who want to specialize in Baking and Patisserie should pursue the IVQ Level 2 Diploma in Pastry. The students will be guided through the fundamentals of baking and patisserie and how to work in a professional kitchen setting. The course is split evenly between theory and practice, with students learning and preparing a variety of dishes and learning about modern cooking techniques such as hygiene and safety. To pass the assessments, candidates must demonstrate both practical skills and related knowledge.

After four months of classroom instruction, students must complete industrial training in a professional bakery and patisserie kitchen, which could be part of a five-star hotel, restaurant, or cloud kitchen.

Additionally, students will be taught a French Patisserie Masterclass in which Chef Sahil Mehta will share his skills and knowledge for the first time. For the first four months, an intensive course will be taught at Tedco's Connaught Place campus for over 450 hours, covering both theory and practical knowledge. Following completion, Tedco will offer students the opportunity to participate in three months of industrial training in either a five-star hotel or a bakery kitchen. Students can also participate in paid internships for three or six months in France, the world's patisserie capital.

12th Pass, with fluency in English (Written + Verbal) is required.

The qualification is used to cover both workplace and food preparation safety, healthy eating, special diets, menu planning and costing, cooking, and the preparation and finishing of various supplies and dishes.
